Very, very belated Valentine's Day look
Yes, that holiday that was nearly two months ago T__T
I decided to go with pink and gold makeup for dinner at our favorite Indian restaurant, and boy did seem to think I looked nice :)

Swatches and reviews of five Venomous Cosmetics eyeshadows and one lip pencil
This is an old haul from around Christmastime! I had seen pictures of this limited edition lip liner It's Destiny on the Venomous Cosmetics Facebook page and knew I wanted it, because it is pink with gold shimmer ^_^; Obsessed much?
pressed eyeshadow samples, Mermaid and Constellation ($2 each), because Venomous is known for being one of the few indies to sell pressed shadows and the only one to sell little samples of the pressed shadows! They are so tiny and cute :D (about the size of a dime)

Sailor Jupiter-inspired look for Sailor Moon collab!
This is an exciting day: the day of round 1 of the Sailor Moon collaboration! I love Sailor Moon, both the TV show and the original, far superior books drawn by Naoko Takeuchi. A bunch of other girls (see the complete list with links to their posts here) and I jumped at Mai's suggestion of doing Sailor Moon-inspired looks in honor of the show's 20th anniversary, and we're each doing one good guy and one baddie. Sailor Jupiter is my good guy!
Jupiter is not the Scout I most identify with - that would be Mars, and Neptune is another fave of mine - but we're both brunettes and I like her color combo! Plus, I just got this in the mail a couple of days ago ...

Swatches of two Darling Girl Cosmetics tinted lip balms
I want to start by saying that Susan, the mastermind of Darling Girl Cosmetics, has reformulated the tinted lip balms since I got these, but since the colors haven't changed (except to become a bit more opaque), here are some swatches!
I fell in love with Poison Plum (yes, like the Sugarpill eyeshadow) when people started blogging about the Halloween collection, and was very glad Susan chose to make this shade permanent! However, it hasn't been reformulated yet and might not be :( Sugar Rush also looked right up my alley, since I seem to collect pink lippies with gold shimmer now xD These were $4.75 each.

Flash review: Benefit benetint, posietint, and high beam
One of the major advantages UK girls have over US ladies is that they often get free gifts with their magazines, particularly Glamour magazine. Luckily for me, the boy is more than willing to grab them for me, which is how I came about these three mini Benefit Cosmetics products (ironic, since Benefit is based 40 miles away from me and these minis came from 5,500 miles away)!
These are the little boxes they came in, tucked inside the plastic wrap that covered the magazines. They are each 0.13oz, compared to the roughly 0.4oz that the full-sized versions contain, so they're about 1/4 sized. Considering the magazines were £2 each ($3.16), and the full-sized ones retail for $29, that's not a bad deal at all!

Watercolor Whimsy FOTD feat. Fyrinnae
This is such a springtime-y look, it's kind of funny to realize it was actually from December, just a couple of days before Christmas! I was going out to lunch with my aunts, female cousins and mother, and wanted to wear my Whimsy Beading Fairy Festival jewelry, so I wore a watercolor-type top and tried to use similar colors on my eyes. Not that Tomatina really requires you to be dressed up, but whatever xD
I actually was hoping that by using pastel duochromes on my eyes, it'd sort of mimic the way the earrings and necklace catch the light with different candy colors. It didn't quite work out that way ...
