Joining Sirvinya's Challenge 100!

Almost two months ago, the awesome Becky of Sirvinya (Confessions of a Make Up Addict, Sirvinya) posted about a new series she was starting called Challenge 100. Her idea was to set herself a goal of posting 100 (or more) face of the day (FOTD) in the next year, starting from the first post; and she invited anyone who was interested to join her as well. I decided to join almost a month ago, but ... for one reason and another, never posted about it til now ^_^;

The basics: each Challenge 100 FOTD must be different - i.e., no slapping on R.S.V.P. Creaseless Cream every day and just changing the lip color - and all Challenge 100 posts will be tagged as such so Becky can find them in the participating blogs. I love this idea because I own SO many different, beautiful eyeshadows, blushes and lipsticks/ glosses that do not get used often enough, so hopefully this series will make me use more of them :)

Plain makeup angers my cat
Here is the most basic, plain FOTD you'll see from me (as part of this challenge, at least) - I wanted this to be the first in this series so I could show my normal, everyday makeup and then start getting into more interesting looks. I wore this to a family party at our house, which usually means low-key makeup for me, and since I had pretty earrings (from Italy, years ago, sorry) and sparkles on my top (no idea where from, sorry again), I thought simple eye makeup would be best. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd then my cat sweetly asked that I set her down now ... via sharp little claws. CUTE

Products used:

R.S.V.P. is like a my-eyelids-but-better color, perfect for pale skin with pink undertones. It's shimmery, but not glittery, so it looks pretty natural. I have a mini which I got from a blogsale and I use it so often - $4 well spent! (It looks like I haven't hardly used it, too ... might actually last me forever :)
Benefit Creaseless Cream in R.S.V.P.; L'Oreal Volume Million mascara
No liner, even! Having spent the last few hours helping to get food, etc ready, I had not much time or inclination to get at all fancy. R.S.V.P. is the easiest possible eye makeup for me in situations like that: it needs no brushes, primer, or blending, just dabbing with my fingertip and done.

So that's day one down, 99 to go! Anybody else interested in joining Challenge 100? :D

  1. I would love to do this but I fear I would fail. I hate myself in pictures these days so the thought of doing my makeup to show my whole face on my blog every other day just saps my courage :/

    I have to say that you are SO FREAKIN CUTE, you look so beautiful in that picture! (Except for the scratch, ouchie! >.<)

    Good luck with this challenge, can't wait to see all your pictures! :)

  2. I would love to do this, but I don't have time to do an EOTD as well as photograph it and break it down every day :-( I am, however, doing a Test It Up! challenge that requires me to test every eyeshadow I own (probably around 300) before I buy anything else. That should keep me busy well into 2012! You can follow my progress on my blog, http://fleurs-de-lisa.blogspot.com/. I'm having a giveaway, too, which ends on Monday.

  3. I agree you look so cute in this pic! Cats are so finicky, I hope your scratches heal soon! I'm not a regular blogger so I'll just have to live vicariously through you. I'm excited to see the other 99 looks you'll be posting. :)

  5. You've done a very nice job of creating a natural look. ARGH my cats do that to me all the time, lol! One of them scratched my face awhile ago and I now have a small scar under my nose. Thank goodness for makeup!
